An hour or half an hour before open?
That I’m not sure about. I think half a hour minimum.
reserve on dorsia
They named the app after the restaurant in American Psycho??
no can do…i got an 8:30 rezz…GREAT sea urchin ceviche
Dorsia has 8:30PM for TTT and requires a prepayment of $120 per person to secure it. Good towards total spend for the evening.
Looks like I’ll be showing up early to hang out.
does it go towards the bill?
Yes. It’s a prepared MG (minimum guarantee) spend.
did you reserve it?
I’m just going to get there early.
My fear is that items will be sold out by 8:30.
As if the world didn’t know how great Anajak is enough…
Edit: I guess the link to the IG reel from Jacob Soberoff of the Today Show isn’t gonna work here.
It works if you use the link tool rather than just pasting it.
Thanks to all for their great advice!
@Clayfu is right. Most line up about half an hour before.
I like that for TTT, they start with the wine list and allow us to pick and start drinking before we order.
Not yet on the menu…Julian Haart Riesling. It’s very summer fruity with strong hits of citrus and green apple. It is a little sweet, but completely refreshing on a warm summer night in the Valley.
Tonight’s menu was focused on supporting Lahaina recovery efforts and Chef decided to pull from his last collaboration with Chef Sheldon Simeon.
Spicy tuna poké
Shoyu limu poké - you’ll see options for community organizations that can use some support in light of the recent disasters
Hiramasa tostada - delightful…the sauce packed a nice wallop of heat
Striped bass tacos
Tiger river prawns
Grilled cabbage - this one packs a punch! The sweet cabbage is a nice foil to the chile sauce mix…it may have been too spicy for us
Mochiko fried chicken
Pad thai - still my favorite rendition of this dish of all time
Mango sticky rice kakigori - this was everything I imagined it could be and more…delicious cold treat on a summer evening
TTT is a fun and casual way of doing Anajak. It’s a lot more relaxed than omakase nights…which are already casual in nature. Everyone’s mood is lighter and we’re just having tacos and chicken in the alley.
so sad I couldn’t make it for kakigori CRY
That’s how I felt last week when I saw it on deck.
It was so good! We should have ordered 2.
the kuromato ice guy was the one making it too.
that @clayfu cameo …
you never know what’s going on in the alley on tuesdays. Justin is always introducing me to new people - I’m really grateful!
