Yeah, it is great that they’re busy. If I had been sitting at literally any other table it would have been better. The other possible solution would have been for an employee at the restauant to come over and verbally say something along the lines of “Hi thanks so much for being here with us tonight.” but in a personal way.
The restaurant is busy enough that I’m sure this is the experience of others - it just missed us.

Sorry this is hilarious to me. You want them to come up to you and say “hey we got you, you got to sit at the cuck table today and for that we thank you”

Yeah, I’m not looking for a free glass of champs or appetizer, or a bump in points on my Harrah’s card, you know? So that leaves friendly human interaction as the benefit.

I think it just means that they don’t think it’s a bad table- or else they wouldn’t have it placed there. It might be a you thing? It’s a bustling restaurant so foot traffic might not be seen as a negative - did you say the HVAC was bothering you?
we all make assumptions about empty tables etc but there are systems and stations for employees or reservations that might have to be accounted for. I still think it’s worth emailing them if you thought the service was lacking.

not saying all complaints are valid yada yada but places I worked generally knew which seating wasn’t ideal and what common complaints were, even for foh layouts can be annoying but that means more tables

another bad seat at barra santos: the bar seat on the left close to the entrance. the problem is: it’s right next to a hose that staff use to fill water bottles and is cramped as a result. that said, they more than made up for it last time by playing marquee moon, my favorite all-time album.
