Give Wally’s a try. Sotto too.
I don’t know if these count as reasonable, but a couple of my favorites are New Port Seafood and Tagine.

I’ve eaten there a couple times, and the only thing really good was the late night cold cuts sandwich I thought.
It felt somewhat pretentious to me otherwise, elegant plating, but food mostly lacking in flavor, and seemed to cost about $100/person to eat there, so not sure how it falls into the category of “reasonable”? But it’s wonderful for drinking wine at.
So we ended up at Viviane in the Avalon Hotel. I guess it was reasonable for Beverly Hills ($44 per person before tip), but it is not, in my mind, a restaurant for foodies.
The $44 included one glass of wine (the wine by the glass list is quite mediocre, by the way), a salad and an entree, but no coffee or dessert.
The salad – little gems with anchovies – was overdressed and not particularly good. (Made me yearn for the excellent little gem salad at Sotto). The entree – tofu, kobocha squash and rice – was horrible. You might say, what do you expect ordering such a thing, but I can imagine a world where such an entree could be good and also at $14, it was the cheapest entree on the menu.
Anyway, the restaurant was pleasant enough, but I would not return and it would have been much more than $44 if I had had a coffee or hadn’t ordered a $14 entree.
Can’t say didn’t warn people… idk how Hung manages to get the gigs he does, as the food he produces seems to always be rather horrible. His food at Faith and Flower was also “not for foodies”, it wasn’t really clear who it was for at all, in a better world, one would have hoped no one.
Strong cocktails and a sophisticated menu will fool many people into thinking the food is good (myself included). It wasn’t until a sober lunch visit to Faith & Flower that it occurred to me how the much the food sucks.
any Happy Hour ideas around BH Courthouse? I have marry a couple of kids today 
So far Im’ thinking AOC but something right by the court would be nice.

Heritage wine is walking distance, cool vibe, not loud, good wine options by the glass, cheeses.
Wally’s - many more options and louder.
AOC is good but you will have to drive.

Probably not exactly happy hours, but the bars at the big hotels in the area are pretty swanky

What’s a place I can get into on Friday evening without much fuss? Gonna be in the area and I figured I should make a dinner stop while I’m nearby.
EDIT: Reservations or walk in. Just put myself on the notify for Funke and Bar Funke, but I don’t expect that to pan out.
Proximity to Mayborne would be an added bonus.

I’m a big proponent of Matū, you can definitely get a reservation a couple days out. If you’re trying to go the walk-in route it may be tough.

If you set a relatively wide time range for both Funke and Bar Funke, and you have fast fingers, your odds ain’t too bad at getting in off notify. FYI they charge for cancelations within 24 hours of the reservation, so there’s often some movement right before that deadline.

If proximity to Mayborne matters, you could take a chance on Dante if you don’t mind sitting outside or the bar. Cocktails are A+. Room and the view look great. Food is ??? though.
The revamped cocktail menu at Spago looks good too and you can get the smoked salmon pizza at the bar.
I guess what I’m saying is: if your options are limited on a busy Friday night, enough cocktails will make you assessment of the food better.
