You don’t have to be guilty of crimes but there is also the point of just closing your eyes on issues and just ignoring them. Serving naked very young girls tea and food might be not a crime but one can’t ignore that he also didn’t have any “suspicion” and continued his job as if this was totally normal

i don’t know if anyone here is accusing him of a crime but I’m personally accusing him of poor judgement and probably willing ignorance of some incredibly fucked up stuff happening around him. But also based on some of the reporting and files I don’t want to eat his food no matter how good.

He told the FBI he thought they were college girls. Who knows how believable that is without photos, but Epstein was apparently discreet enough that the cops didn’t get onto him until three years after Perry Lang quit.
Anybody who worked for Epstein after 2008 obviously has no excuse.

Obviously it’s your prerogative but seems the board would prefer moderation after the fact, once the conversation has died down.

Even if he thought that (which I have at least some doubts), many naked college girls running around should be enough hints ( that isn’t something normal you see at every rich person’s house) that this doesn’t seem to be your average private chef job and that there are some suspicious things going on. He (and you) seem to close your eyes over something quite obvious

Has the time come for “Potentially turning a blind eye to human trafficking: threat or menace?” spin off? Nothing in this tangent is related to anything or anyone involved w/ the restaurant or Rustic Canyon Group, AFAIK.
While I did not particularly enjoy my one visit, even if the restaurant never re-opens, I feel like it deserves a better FTC end than the above…

Epstein was obviously a deeply weird boss, but it doesn’t seem like in 1998-2002 it was obvous to anyone not directly involved that he was trafficking underage girls or doing anything that Hugh Hefner didn’t brag about. There is no evidence that Perry Lang lied to the FBI. Accusing him of doing so, a federal felony, without evidence, is un-American.
I’m in no way desperate, just intolerant of Internet pile-on backdating bullshit that proclaims people guilty when they have a constitutional right to be presumed innocent.
There were police investigations starting in 2001 because people complained about weird behavior at Epstein (including very young girls running around naked etc), so at a time when Lang was still his chef. If other people were able to see it, he seemed to prefer to close his eyes and ignore it

That investigation was closed in April 2002 with the note that “no illegal activity has been reported or detected.”
Presuming that Perry Lang and others knew Epstein was trafficking underage girls also ignores the reality that people see what they expect to see.
You seem to be a Lang fanboy who is trying to spin the world like only you see it - completely normal findings even if there were no follow up work and nothing to worry about when you are employed by Epstein at that house:

The rest of that article strongly suggests that Epstein got much less discreet in 2003-2004 (after Perry Lang left), which led to his going to jail. Sort of (they let him go to work 60 hours a week).
