Had an early dinner in late September on a Sunday night. Met a friend when the opened at 6:30. No other party came in until 7:30. By 9 PM it was just us and the other party. I was so shocked…for decades I have gotten used to waiting most times I go there.

Who makes great gamjatang?
i think the pico location of ham ji park is open through the end of the month. the best gamjatang i’ve ever had. Gam Ja Gol is good, too.

Went to Namsan becuse we got in late thanks to the Castaic gas explosion closing I-5, needed someplace close that was open after 11, and the 6th St. Sun Nong Dan has closed WTF?
Banchan all very good. First-rate kimchi and fish cake. Jalapeños with the mu were the spiciest I’ve had in years.
Veggie kimbap made to order. Excellent.
Short rib soup (galbitang). Great light dinner.

Cassell’s patty melt, best I’ve had though it needs that mustardy mayo to cut the richness. Frico is kind of goofy. Chocolate malt was also the best ever. Friendly service.

Great spot. That patty melt looks thicker than I remember. If you still have it in you for another and it’s early check out Pann’s patty melt on the way to the airport
