Gary Weller, a 38-year-old real estate developer in Philadelphia … had been reviewing restaurants for years in journals and notes on his phone when he learned about Beli from his 20-year-old nephew. He retroactively added old reviews to the app and continued posting new ones, landing him and his nearly 8,000 reviews at the very top of the app’s dining leaderboard.
