Seems like Odd One Out Tea is planning to open a shop in Pasadena
This was unfortunately a total miss for me the other week though I blame myself. I asked the woman at the counter what she recommended and it was a mango drink with boba. It ended up just being a blended unripe mango that was very stringy with boba not quite as good as Jin’s. I’ll probably go back to try something else but it’s hard to not just go to Jin.
On Foothill Blvd at North Halstead, next to Hook Burger. Website is not showing this location; yelp has some reviews
This is a PSA.*

This is a real holiday!
*I cribbed from SGV Eats FB group. Thanks to Sklar K. Toy.
Saint Raf’s forthcoming (?) Pasadena outpost will be open this saturday 1/18 from 9a - 11a with bagels and coffee. Not sure if this is a soft open, or an event in response to the fires.
Hope all of you are safe.
Perle has become our go-to pre-concert Pasadena restaurant. It’s similar to Petit Trois, but I consider Petit Trois the better restaurant of the two. Peony prefers Perle, which is completely satisfying to me.
Has anyone been to Delizie Romane?
I went to Panda Inn to satisfy my curiosity, and I accomplished that task.
I wasnt that mad about the lions head meatballs
Ha! Coming from a Shanghainese that means something. Had no idea they served dishes like that
Soft and fluffy like they should be! Too much soy sauce though.
This was under their “Chef’s Special” menu, which ostensibly leans harder into traditional preparations. They even had a Yangzhou shredded tofu dish!
Panda inn is great. I’ve only gone once since the new opening but I thought the whole experience was fantastic - including service
