Who needs a PR team when your restaurant keeps getting ridiculous reviews and awards practically every week. William killing it over there! I hope the business is doing well financially - we all know how difficult it is to run a restaurant in our dear city.
Also of note the marinara and margherita pizza’s at Sei is almost the same price as Prime’s cheese and pep. You can get some world class pizza for the same price as a local chain to put that in perspective. On the other end is Sei’s omakasei. Who else in the country is doing that?
I respect that a lot. Those basic pies at Sei’s are no slouch either with some of the best tomato sauce I ever had on a pizza.
Well, to be fair, it ends up being a quantity vs. quality thing (w/ Prime giving you a bigger pizza for the price).
But I totally agree w/ your main point. And that’s why, TBH, I haven’t been super tempted to do the “omakasei.” His regular stuff is so delicious that I find it quite satisfying (and the omakasei actually looks like an overwhelming amount of food).

New location on Overland coming!!! Chef William just posted it. Such freaking great news!
Wow. Normally I would be worried about quality, but OG Sei seems to do just fine with or without chef in the kitchen. Good for William!
So it’s not a move but a second location? Nicee
