Moyen Trois is the fourth co-venture between chef Ludo Lefebvre and LA restauranteurs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. After opening Trois Mec, a tasting menu-focused restaurant known for its innovative ticketing reservation system; Petit Trois, a tiny take on an upscale Parisian bistro; and Trois Famila, a French-Mexican brunch spot; Moyen Trois marks Ludo’s first restaurant on Los Angeles’ growing Westside.

Moyen Trois, slang for “Threesome,” will accordingly focus on three concepts: Parisian Outdoor Bistro Culture; French Street Food; Prix Fixe Menu.

Taking advantage of the bustling downtown Culver City thoroughfare, the outdoor bistro area will promote community and conversation over a menu of affordable, yet high quality, wines. The only beer available will be 1664. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available, including chef Ludo’s own Chocolat Chaud. The patio food menu will highlight the second concept - French street food - with elevated fare including (but not limited to) an assortment of crêpes, galette saucisse and hot dog fromage.

For diners seeking a more complete meal, the interior of Moyen Trois will boast a rotating prix fixe menu (appetizer / main / dessert). The limited menu will focus on homestyle French cooking, while maintaining the quality and innovation that Ludo has become known for. With an affordable price point, the interior dining room of Moyen Trois will allow access to a level and region of cooking beyond the city’s current offerings.

As Ludo himself would say, “Bon voyage, motherfuckers!”

Well at least you’re getting French to replace French ?

Wonder how that will be hah

What’s the difference between $$ and $$$. $18 omelet or cheeseburger is… ?

I’m pretty excited by this news. No more driving to Hollywood for my Ludo fix.

Uh oh. I’m sorry to get your hopes up, but Moyen Trois is completely fictional. I just wrote it up as a gag - a goof! The original idea is buried earlier in the thread when talking about the state of downtown Culver City and creating department to approve/veto all potential restaurant additions to the area.

But at this fake Ludo restaurant, here are the prices*:

PATIO

  • Crêpes - $10-12
  • Galette Saucisse - $11
  • Hot Dog Fromage - $9
  • Bread / Butter / Cornichons - $3
  • 1664 (bottle) - $6
  • All Wine Bottles - $25 - $50

INTERIOR

  • Lunch Prix Fixe - $39
  • Dinner Prix Fixe - $69

So, the Patio is probably closer to one $, I suppose.

*I have no experience pricing food and am generally dim witted, so prices subject to change.

It says something about the Ludo ethos that you’re fake profile was completely believable.

Lot of work to make fun of the guys, much respect lol

Okay, that was a good one. As soon as I forget how very gullible I am, someone comes along to remind me, thanks.

Though the hot dog fromage gave me a pause.

that looks fucking amazing?

It is, and it gets better: the amateur in the pic I found didn’t even know that you can order it with two hot dogs.

All this posting has me scheming on how to make one at home.

Clearly some are better than others, because that picture looks far superior to this one. I’d probably also want this made a la minute…

this tangent took me on places that I didn’t want to go!!!

Ok I’m done derailing the thread, back to Roberta’s.

The French are nuttier than I thought.

Lunch pour deux, en route to the Eiffel Tower. Approx. 13 Euro. We had some great meals in Paris. Dining on a park bench watching the world go by, a great memory to be cherished.

This thread is brilliant! Can I get a Merguez Baguette?

I had to laugh at the only beer being 1664. Reminded me of Being at an Irish bar (with a poster of the Great Irish wine houses of Bordeaux) in Bordeaux drinking 1664 watching a Sky network broadcast of the NFL playoffs. Good times.
