Cool. On Sawtelle right now and there’s a line up the block, but the whole neighborhood is absolutely jammed with diners. Gotta say that sauce still looks thin to me though.
In other news, new signage on all three Tsujita locations says the current situation is “temporary,” so make of that what you will.
It is thin, but tasty no matecare in the house, I’m going to go ahead and say that’s just how they do it. If you don’t like that you really aren’t going to like the deep fried meatballs with Ketchup based napolitana sauce! #uglybutgood
Does Bacio di Latte have some new investors? In addition to the Sawtelle location, they’re opening (or have already opened) a location in Brentwood and will be opening another one in Santa Monica. Seems a little odd to me…
To keep it more directly on topic, here’s some things coming to the cursed Olympic Collection (the ramen sign has been up there for awhile now):
Doubtful that Chikumo will happen (rumor on the street). Indigo Cow opening where HoneyMee used to be.
Bacio di Latte is not as consistent as a chain should be. For some unknown reason I like the Century City location’s gelato far more than the Sawtelle location’s…
I have been to Bacio di Latte in CC, BW and MDR. I can’t detect a quality or consistency difference between those three locations. Haven’t been to Sawtelle, maybe it’s the black sheep?
The BW location always has people in it and is often packed.
If I had one complaint about Bacio di Latte, it’s that they aren’t big on fruit flavors. They have Strawberry, Lemon and Raspberry, but they are all sorbet not gelato. When I want seasonal fruit, I venture over to Sweet Rose.
You just reminded me to post my pics from the other day. I went mid day , so no line. It was good but I think they need to work on the machine a bit, I had some icy pieces in my cup, both flavors. Got a small cup with mochi. Not sure I would go out of my way to go get some though.
