Today was a study in contrasts. While partner was at Arden in WeHo w/ some friends
I was at Costco
I surely must’ve had their pizza at least once growing up. But I have no memory of it. Ordering and pick up is a breeze (kiosk and then go immediately up to the pick-up window). As the man was handling my pizzas, he said, “I appreciate you,” which totally reminded me of
At any rate, had I known ahead of time that a single slice was the size of an entire plate, I would’ve just gotten one slice (vs. 2).
For $1.98, you cannot complain about the pizza AT ALL. You can never go wrong w/ hot, melty, oozy cheese. I have never understood why you’d want a stuffed crust or ranch dipping sauce until have this slice. The cornicione is pretty puffy and chewy, and I couldn’t help but think how nice it’d be stuffed or w/ a dipping sauce…
It was actually kind of nice to see people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities wafting past as I was eating my slices. Couldn’t finish both corniciones, so I was glad to see that Costco has a container for food waste.
I came to Costco for some battery, to pick up my sunglasses, and to get some of these (based on @js76wisco mentioning these):
But one my way to that, I saw THIS:
F*CK, YES!!! I LOVE Galaga!!!
And, yes, I am seriously considering buying the “pub table” of Galaga. Totally reminds me of times of a local ice cream parlor growing up playing that game. And, yes, I am totally aware that it is nearly $500. Whatever. YOLO.
