my issue with the private room is that… it’s private. if you want privacy that’s fine, but you’ll be missing the experience of sitting in front of the chefs and watching them make your food. it’ll be like going to hayato and eating in the back.
Wow 16 diners at the counter + 10 more for the private room. If they’re completely booked they’re pulling in $23,470 a night before any service fees or tips
Yea that’s a good point. Ok, I guess i’m going for the counter then.
Spanish Siberia… Actually if you have a business dinner where a bit more privacy is desired, then the cave makes perfect sense.
Booked! Now let’s check our schedules…
those were gone fast…I tried for december 5th and it disappeared before my eyes
Are they only running one seating per night for now? I only saw 5:30 PM. Did anybody see a later seating?
Only 5:30 AFAIK
DM me before the next reservation release and I’ll try to help. I have a few OpenTable tricks I’ve learned over the years, but I ain’t posting them on a public message board.
one 530pm for counter, one 7pm for private room
15 posts were split to a new topic: OpenTable 2024 vs. Tock, Resy, et al
Heads up: looks like there is availability for NYE (as of right now). Somewhat a special ticket though as it comes with their highest level of pairing, and is $1000 pp
I was randomly checking out the reservation page on Opentable and saw openings for the NYE dinner and immediately went for it without thought.
Will post reviews about this dinner!
@matthewkang, how was it?
officially opens tomorrow. review forthcoming?
unverified Max put up a story on it about an hour ago.
I will be there 12/14 and will certainly report back. But I will be sorely disappointed if none of you gluttons beat me there!
I’m purposefully avoiding Max’s story, as I want to be surprised. For those who have seen his story, how similar does the menu look compared to Somni 1.0? I didn’t eat at Somni 1.0, so knowing how similar/dissimilar it is doesn’t ruin anything for me - i’m just curious.
Stylistically, very. Dish wise only a few repeats and lots new
