Supermarket finds

Just depends on what you like. They are similar to a fast food style bun. Soft and spongy. It’s easy enough to make potato roll. I personally try not to support them

Yes. They great texture and structure especially when toasted. Personally, we are a Pretzel Bun home. But for a cook out, I will be picking these up this summer.

They are the perfect vessel for chicken salad, even moreso if there’s a little ham spread on there too.

I use this recipe (scaled down) , It’s amazing how easy and good they are.

This is the best jjampong package we’ve had. Broth is properly spicy and peppery. Noodles are good enough. We add extra seafood but highly recommended. Wooltari has a stand alone high end market in Irvine but I think you might be able to find these packages at Hmart and other Korean supermarkets.

New Vallarta tortilla variety and it’s enjoyable! I believe it was $3.79 for a bag, and the chili flavor comes through nicely. The items in photo are larger than the small taco tortillas, and not as big as a burrito sized tortilla.

Highly recommend. 3 ingredients. Sweet potatoes, avocado oil and salt.

Which supermarket?

My mother in law bought the bag at Costco. The Jackson chips are on sale at Mothers right now too.

Jidori Drumsticks at Vons/LA. Great price. Thighs are nearly 3x the price.

These are our favorite tortillas chips. We’ve probably tried 10-12 different brands over the years from Bristol, Whole Foods, Northgate, Ralph’s and every where in between. Great flavor, crunchy and well salted. Made by a company called La Fortaleza somewhere in DTLA. They sell these at La Carniceria meat market in Anaheim. They have a bunch of locations. Highly recommend.

I like a dark chocolate or sweet treat most nights. The ideal product is pre-portioned. I’m well aware of the dark chocolate and peanut butter cups from Trader Joes. Any cookie brands, anything else sparking joy? Price is no object for this.

I have known and loved the nondairy Hold the Cone for a year or two. Thank you, it’s time to pick up another box. The pistachios may be a me problem because I will eat in otherwordly proportions. unless they’re in small bags ala the Just a Handful series.

Edit: in case anyone else likes this kind of food - in months past I could usually count on Smart and Final putting a box of dark chocolate Lindt truffles on sale. That was also really good and even an enthusiast like me can usually cap my daily intake to two truffles.

Other things I have tried and loved - ordering from the Mars website a bunch of bags of pretzel M&Ms and Peanut M&Ms. The pretzel M&Ms are my all time favorite.

Pepperidge Farm used to make me feel special but now with the Milanos I taste a weird chemical.

The Milanos have tasted weird for a long time now. I quit them at least 15 years ago.
