I liked these better than regular Oreos but it could have been even a little more peanut buttery.

That’s pretty dangerous lol

That looks like a vast improvement over regular oreos. I like the cookies; the filling tastes like sweetened shortening to me.

That’s what it is.

Until 1991 it was sweetened lard.

I know. That’s why my kosher friends grew up with Hydrox.

Brown butter apple cookies at Whole Foods. $7.49 for 4 big cookies. I’ve never had a cookie quite like this. Cinnamon forward with real chunks of apples. You can taste the butter. The cookie tastes like fall. They are soft and gooey. Really good.

Dang I’m gonna look for these next time.

Also reminds me to point out that the by-slice cheesecake at Whole Foods is very, very solid. From JM Rosen in Petaluma.

It’s a seasonal item. FYI

Smoking Goose pork and rabbit terrine: my buddy bought it at Whole Foods. Tastes like France.

Took me a minute to figure out why they were using Italian seasoning on pork rind crumbs.

At which Smart N Final did you find the potato rolls?

Mid-city, Venice/San Vicente.

Price per package? Did they have hotdog and Big Marty’s as well?

I grew up with Martin’s and have little desire to change now. McCabe’s carries all of the above for $9 a package, Standings has the original and sometimes hotdog for the same ballpark price.

Smart and Final has a great app and is on Instacart. So you take a peep into what your nearby store has in stock. Here is one near us currently.

@Dommy pretty much covered it. $3.99 for hot dog buns and sliders both. I did not see bigger rolls but was in a state of stupefied wonderment so may have missed them.

I know plenty of restaurants in socal are using them now but I’d never seen them in a regular grocery store for standard pricing before.

Are these potato buns amazing? (genuine question)
