I’m thinking of roasting the crown (breasts on the bone) and braising the legs but this 90’s era LATiimes recipe for a Yucatan style turkey is fantastic. So I still haven’t decided!

@aaqjr if you don’t mind a turkey that isn’t free-range or organic, Whole Foods’ brand has “young turkeys” for $32–$44, depending on size. If you wanna splurge a little Marconda still has Willie Birds for $119-$145 depending on type (free-range or organic free-range).

I posted a week or so ago about Deitsels at Amazon Fresh. It was like a flat $19 per conventional bird, 10-12lbs. At one point I think they had butterballs for $0.99lb. I saw a decent amount of under $1 lb circular deals. Flipp is worth a download.

I enjoy grocery shopping in person but I put in my first Amazon Fresh delivery for this. Lol it feels wrong having groceries delivered.

Wow!!! I was giddy over my $19 bird! That is crazy!
These are natural birds. So they require a bit of brining or marinade. They also are wonderful smoked. For left overs, we used this super yummy recipe for soup. But swapped cooked turkey and turkey broth.

Someone on reddit just posted about the Butterballs. Whole Foods now has meat bags for two good to go and some got some fancy brined turkey today. So there is always that option for the next week or so. LOL!!!

BOGO on Masienda Tortillas at Sprouts. They freeze quite well.
Looks like the end of the road for this product as Whole Foods have stopped stocking them. 
Pro tip: Reach deep to the back of the shelf; you can occasionally find still-frozen tortillas.
