I’m not sure I’ve seen the term used in a supermarket. I do regularly see local vendors specifically identified by name and location.

Here on the East Coast, there are markets using the term ‘local’. Wegman’s, DeCicco’s, Stew Leonard’s, etc. How local is another question…

Noticed this yesterday, At Whole Foods, they use the term local as well. And they post a bio of the purveyor and proximity to the store…

If they name the producer and their location, then there’s no ambiguity about “local.”
