Regier’s at SM Wed sold out by 10:20AM. ::sigh::
Didn’t have time to go today but that’s pretty wild. But plenty of other good vendors I think. Murray, Terry’s, Burkhart, Juicy fruit (that’s definitely not the right name but they’re on the west side of the northern leg), etc.
The big question…any sign of melons?
Grabbed some melons, but couldn’t tell you the vendor. I don’t have high hopes but mom requested them for Father’s Day brunch. No melons at Weiser.
The yellow peaches at Regier were all bruised by the time I got there so I didn’t grab any.
Tutti Frutti?
No not them (though they’re great at what they do too!)
Weiser did have melons, but not a lot and sold out very early. Should have a lot more next week.
The Wednesday SMFM was popping today! June Lady’s out at Rieger, a new to me corn vendor specialist that has beautiful yellow corn across from the Murray farm stand, picked up some beautiful apricots. We are in the heart of Strawberry season and they were everywhere, still fava beans and green beans around
For those that love Spanish food Chef Dani Garcia was at the market today with a camera crew and what looked like his top people. (He’s opening a place in Century City IIRC)
Yeesh century city wonder how that will be.
Any specific stands you found exceptional strawberries?
I agree on the CC thing but I have huge respect for him so I’m excited for sure
Didn’t pick up any strawberries today but I’ve been digging the ones from Smith Farms recently
Yes if he opens I would def check it out, we need more good Spanish food in this city!
Lots of melons at Weiser today
Hopefully they show back up to Torrance!
Did you pick a melon up? If so which varietal?
All sugarcube melons at least as far as I saw. Picked up 2!
Yeah only sugar cubes were left at 11a. They said the other varietal (not specified) was gone by 9a. There will be significantly more next week apparently.
Which kind are those?
Gaviotas
Can’t wait until they have tomatoes again!
They have tomatoes again at smith farms they just got them in this week I think. They were sold out on Saturday.
