Anyone had a Weiser farms melon in the past couple of weeks?
Still good and worth seeking out? Or too late in the season?

Got one last Saturday, forget what the varietal was. Very fragrant, sweetness comparable to earlier in the month.
Mid-August is peak melon season. They should have them for weeks more. And they should be good until they no longer have them.
Anyone know if they still have that stand Saturdays at the row?
Yes, that’s where I picked up my melon last week. Alex Weiser was there working the stand, super nice guy.
Great thx for the info! Any info on hours? I assume morning till about 1pm?
Can’t find anything on their website or insta
Buying them every week in Venice and they’re still great.
More great news for DTLA or A/E Line Adjacent Folks! Little Tokyo is launching their own Farmers Market next Saturday!
At first I was a little sad because it’s the same day and time as the South Park Farmers marker which a great little market! My favorite in DTLA. But, they have been announcing vendors including Tamai Farms, a tea vendor and some others which make it unique!
No doubt they will keep announcing new vendors. Sadly I won’t be there this coming weekend, but will be visiting soon! Can’t wait!!
ETA!
Vendors list! Delmys!
Tenerelli said last week was it for them.
They’re basically replanting their orchards apparently.
Mixed bag at the row Weiser stand. I let the guy selling me fruit pick the produce and some of it was def over ripe. He was a really nice 20 something but probably newish, name was Elias super chatty but I should’ve picked my own. Usually I let the farmers do it since they are the pros if available.
Sugar cube was the best so far. Ogen and arava were good but portions of the melons were way over ripe. Also the peaches on sample were great but he chose ones that weren’t that good. Have two more melons left
Good description. I’d never tasted a melon quite like the Bonny.
Yes it’s so unique!
