Urban, $15 at Berkeley Bowl. Would not have bought if I had read carefully enough to realize it was pinsa and I think I grabbed the wrong box so got a bianca. Good for what it was but also not really what I think of as pizza, more like cheesy bread. One weird thing, the label said 13.3 oz. but it was more like 18.

Porta, $13 at Berkeley Bowl. Sure didn’t look anything like the photo on the box. Not awful but won’t buy again.

What don’t you like about pinsa? Just curious. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten it out but at home I think pinsa dough works better for me if I’m making in my home oven

Nothing against pinsa, it can be good. I just prefer traditional Roman pizza, which is what I thought I was buying.

What do you say to Wirecutter’s take that Table 87 was dry and the crust was awful?

  1. That’s why the slice is better than the whole - there’s less dry uncovered crust at the edges.
  2. The other 95% of the product makes up for this 5%
