Has anybody used the Beli Restaurant app ?
Looks like Yelp competitor and just downloaded it and starting to get a first idea

My friends in New York started pestering me to download it a year or so ago. My understanding is that it’s huge in New York, and doubly among the younger generation. I gave it a spin, and found it to be a nicely designed app, but at least at the time there wasn’t a critical mass of my network using it in LA, so I lost interest.

I installed it after reading the NY Times article. Rated a bunch of SF Bay Area places I’ve eaten at. Its recommendations so far are not interesting. So far haven’t been able to figure out how to get it to do LA too.
You can tell it for which area/city to want recommendations (but you also need a minimum amount (I think at least 30) of reviews/rankings to get recommendations everywhere
