I’m not sure if this is the ktown thread and it blows my mind that we don’t have a more active one since the amount of Korean restaurants is second only to South Korea.
Ended up doing a triple bang after seafood palace and Beijing pie house. Ktown has changed so much in the last 6-10 years they built a huge building next to pollo a la brasa! I feel old as hell lol
Jjan was recommended by a friend and seems to be a hipster/elevated po jang macha. What surprised me most was the amount of non-Asians it was a majority of hipster looking non-Asian ppl and maybe 1/3 Asian. Which rang my alarm bells.
But the food was spectacular fried pork belly with green onion salad popped high quality samgupsal expertly grilled with a very well dressed salad and the teokbokki was the best version I’ve tasted almost like a cross between traditional and an Italian ragu. Reminiscent of j and v vodka fusilli. So damn good with a spicy but not over the top kick
