Thanks for such a fun evening!
My favorite dishes of the evening were the cold openers…so light and refreshing during a hot summer. Agree with @Bagel on the sauce for the tuna carpaccio and @CiaoBob had the right idea to not let the melon salad dressing go to waste.
The vegetable work at Majordomo still impresses me just as much as the proteins.
That pandan pie was lights out.
The only non-stunner of the night was the peach pavlova…to which the pavlova part skewed too sweet and the peaches were not ripe enough.
It was a superb night with excellent company where the ordering was so reasonable, we each got to take a parting gift home.

both really good. i liked the pork chop slightly better, lots of umami from the sauce, goes great with a side of piping hot rice.

did you miss the pre-dinner dinner?
the new beef rendang, shrimp sambal with coconut, pandan broth crispy rice is great. a play on a nasi uduk, this was aromatic, savory, spicy, coconutty with great texture from the crispy rice. a top two crispy rice for me.
pork chop with fish sauce and the andy’s orchard peaches and cream were the other highlights.
heirloom tomatoes, sherry vinaigrette, pluot, shiso

Magnificent!

It’s the surryano ham from Benton’s. Delicious!

That was new, and a surprise, to all of us.
IIRC, it’s the “Diane” sauce they also use on one of the steaks. They were also thinner than the old BS Fries.

that’s the ham. the thinly sliced prime rib is in the middle. it’s called “ribeye au jus” on the menu.

steak diane sauce. for sure a direct result of dc talking about how that’s the best sauce for fries on his podcast.
